Happy New Year! As we gather together (both in-person + digitally) for the first time in 2021, we are excited to kick off with a brand-new series: Vibes.
Over the next four weeks in ANTHEM, we will be focusing in on emotional health. Nobody has more vibes – more moods they experience or things they feeling a deep and real way – than your teenagers. And while there’s nothing wrong with feeling all the feels, the problem comes when they let these passing vibes become the motivators of their moods and actions.
That is why in this series, we are going to help your teenagers deep dive into some of the feelings we all feel and the way they inspire our actions in an effort to figure out what they can do to better control their vibes instead of letting their vibes control them.
As we jump into this new series, we want all parties involved to feel equipped + properly resourced. We are walking our ANTHEM Tribe Leaders through trainings on a tool that we will be using (a Feelings Wheel), as well as providing them with conversation guides + other resources for navigating through the various aspects of the topics we are approaching. With that said, we want to prepare YOU (the parent or guardian of the teenager) just as much for the conversations that might come up when the Tribe Leader is not present or available.
