Best Weekend Ever 2021

| |

This weekend (March 26-28), JH and HS youth from across the East Valley will gather for our in-town retreat: BEST WEEKEND EVER (BWE).

Over the course of this weekend, youth will have the opportunity to hang with their Tribes, be a part of some exclusive BWE experiences, go on a local excursion + partake in three main sessions where everyone comes together for high-energy moments.

With an event like BWE, we want to do our due diligence + make sure that we set you (the parents/guardians) up for success for this event! Here is everything that you need to know for this weekend:

THEME

It’s no secret that the past 12-15 months have changed a lot of various aspects in our lives. So, with that in mind, we have chosen the topic of HEALTH specifically for our teenagers to be able to meet them exactly where they are at this year. Over the course of this weekend, we are going to be talking about RELATIONAL, EMOTIONAL + SPIRITUAL HEALTH. Our goal is that every teenager, through Best Weekend Ever, will start taking some big steps towards thriving health.

BWE SAFETY GUIDELINES

In year’s past, we have done Host Homes as an element of BWE. With that said, it is not the case for this year. Over the course of the weekend, all volunteers + staff will be required to wear masks; while, teenagers are strongly recommended to wear them. As for social distancing guidelines, they will be in place where needed.

CHECK-IN/DISMISSAL

On Friday, check-in will begin promptly at 630p. It will take place at the ANTHEM tent located in the courtyard at MISSION. A parent/guardian is not required but recommended to attend the check-in process with their teenager. Once they are checked-in, all teenagers will be directed to their Tribe Spaces for the first part of the evening. Dismissal will occur at 1130p.

On Saturday, check-in will begin promptly at 830a. It will take place at the ANTHEM tent located in the courtyard at MISSION. A parent/guardian is not required but recommended to attend the check-in process with their teenager. Once they are checked-in, all teenagers will be directed to their Tribe Spaces for the first part of the morning. Dismissal will occur at 1045p.

On Sunday, we will be capping off the weekend by having our normal services (JH @ 11a + HS @ 630p).

If in the case your teenager needs to leave at any point in the weekend, please communicate that directly with your teenager’s Tribe Leader and/or with ANTHEM Staff ([email protected]).

FOOD

Over the weekend, all meals are included. If you listed food allergies during registration, they will be accommodated.

ITEMS TO BRING

Please refer to the document below that shows what to bring/not to bring. During the course of the weekend, we will have ANTHEM Merch for sale + Soda Rush (Friday Night) that will available to purchase at an additional cost. Lastly, we will be having an After Party on Friday night that is a Decades-themed; so, feel free to bring clothes/accessories for that.

Attached below you will see documents that layout our schedule for the weekend, where Tribe Spaces are located + what Tribes are going where for their excursions.
