Let’s Battle

One of the coolest, and silliest parts of my day is when my young son runs up an says, “Let’s battle.” Both a highlight and simple joy of playing together that he and I do. The bond, love and opportunity to see who wins is fun and beautiful in a simplistic manner.

As we grow as parents and throughout our battles in life, I pray that we face our discouraging moments with this same exuberance. A childlike faith leading us forward as we know God is always fighting for us. He sees when we take a stand against compromise, lack of integrity and choosing a pure path for our children and families. I have seen these battles firsthand, and I know what it is like to continue to do right and receive no words of thanks, or see no tangible results. God is amazing at continually renewing my strength and leading us forward on His path and plan for our lives.

So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.

Galatians 6:9 MSG

As Paul challenged the Galatians, and as God’s word challenges us, to remain strong and keep on doing good. Parents, let’s give our children the examples of living, walking and seeking a godly life every day. Each day, we have another gift of trusting God to supply all of our needs. He fights for our children. He shields our children. We serve and love a God who sees all that our children face every day. I’m motivated and pray for a holy determination for all who lead a godly home and look to God for everything.  I know that in due time, we will reap a harvest of blessing. So as a Dad and man, I say, “Let’s battle.” We have the radiant Victory of Christ standing along with us.
