Since NextGen environments have opened, we have been so thankful for all of our families who have been so gracious and willing to follow safety precautions that create a safe environment for everyone. So many families have personally expressed their gratitude for our attention to these details. Thank you for your help in making MISSION a safe place for families! However, we did want to give a short update on safety procedures.
Temperature Checks: Beginning this weekend (November 1st), we will no longer require temperature checks for kids entering NextGen environments. Since we’ve re-opened, we’ve not had anyone with an elevated temperature and we’re going to ask parents/volunteers to take responsibly by not coming to church if anyone in the family is/has been sick. Will will use thermometers at our discretion if a child/volunteer shows other signs of illness.
Health Screening: We will continue to ask every child/parent and volunteer about their current health before entering our environments. Questions include:
Social Distancing: We will continue to practice social distancing in all of our NextGen environments. We ask that kids (and volunteers) minimize touch, regularly wipe down hard surfaces, and maximize the distance between each others.
Masks: We will continue to require all staff and volunteers to wear masks while at MISSION. Masks are not required for preschool kids and are still strongly recommended for kindergarten and up.
Again, thank you for your continued cooperation during this unique season. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email [email protected]
The NextGen Ministry at MISSION Community Church is committed to partnering with parents and helping kids find and follow Jesus. From babies through high school, we strive to be a church “For Everyone”, creating environments where children and youth can belong even before they believe.
