Welcome to Week One of SHOUT OUT, where we learn that “We always have something to be grateful for.” Below, we have listed everything you need to WATCH IT, DO IT, and TALK ABOUT IT. At the bottom of the page, we included information about the monthly challenges as well. If you need a further explanation, visit the START HERE page. Let’s go!

You will need this week’s lesson from the Lesson Pack and the required materials from the activity pack. Just in case you lost this week’s lesson, click here to download the whole pack.

Find a grown up and take turns answering these questions.

  • Describe what makes a person ungrateful. Now describe a grateful person.
  • What are you grateful for?

You have all month to work on your memory verse (although, it shouldn’t take very long to memorize it. Once you think you have it, recite it to a grownup before you mark it off your Challenge Card!

Every month, we provide a fun and crafty (sometimes edible) activity to do as a family. This activity will include clear directions, easy to find supplies, and a simple connection to what your kids are learning.

ATTENTION: The MAKE IT activity will be available for Week Three!

THE 2020 FAMILY GRATITUDE CHALLENGE: In this month of giving thanks, it’s a great time to acknowledge the people and the
experiences we sometimes take for granted. Use the prompts in this challenge to practice being grateful as a family.
