NextGen Online – July 18th

| | | |

Here’s everything you need for this weekend’s online experiences and more.

As you may have heard, we have moved to an ONLINE ONLY experience this weekend, July 18, due to a water leak on campus.

No need to worry, though. We are still providing our regular on-demand content for Kids (6th grade and below), as well as a special YouTube LIVE experience for Junior High at 1030a.

You can find links to this content and the Junior High experience below.

Also, though High School is not able to meet on campus, we are gathering offsite as Tribes. More info is below.

Story Focus: God helps me stand strong. Week three, we will look at what Paul calls the armor of God. This will be an exciting time as we go through each piece of armor with our preschoolers so they can Press Play and trust that God can help them be strong.

Here’s a fun activity for the fam (use the example in the picture below):

  • Start by drawing an outline of a shield, maybe even creating a connect-the-dot shield.
  • Use crayons or markers to complete and color in the shield. You can make it any design you’d like.
  • Underneath the shield, write the phrase “I can trust God.”
  • Read about the ARMOR OF GOD together in Ephesians 6:10-17.

Here’s a fun activity for the fam:

  • Play “20 Questions.” Think of an item that protects, but don’t share it with the kids. Some suggestions are:
    • Raincoat
    • Jacket
    • Oven mitt
    • Umbrella
    • Boots
    • Eye goggles
    • Face mask
  • Have family members or kids take turns asking questions and guessing.
  • Read about the ARMOR OF GOD together in Ephesians 6:10-17.

**If your Kinder-6th grader is interested in baptism or has more questions about following Jesus, please feel free to join us for an online baptism class Sunday, July 18 at 1030a by clicking the link below.

Here’s a fun activity for the fam:

  • Use an egg (uncooked or hard-boiled).
  • Wrap the egg in a sealed, clear bag (like a sandwich bag).
  • Ask kids or family members to hold the wrapped egg and share a time when it’s hard for kids to stand strong for Jesus.
  • After that person has answered, play “hot potato” while counting to 10; the person holding it takes a turn sharing their thoughts on standing strong for Jesus.
  • Unwrap the egg after a few rounds and examine it for cracks.
  • Ask this question and take turns answering: When is it hard to stand strong?
  • Read about the ARMOR OF GOD together in Ephesians 6:10-17.

**If your preteen is interested in baptism or has more questions about following Jesus, please feel free to join us for an online baptism class Sunday, July 18 at 1030a by clicking the link below.

Below is the link to the special YouTube LIVE experience for Junior High at 1030a on Sunday, July 18. There will be fun opportunities to engage, prize giveaways, and the potential to win lunch! Please have your 7th and 8th graders join us.

**Update: Unfortunately, due to possible storms in our area, our previously scheduled offsite outside at Discovery Park has changed. However, our teenagers are still gathering with their Tribes. These Tribe leaders will be communicating with families this afternoon and arranging an activity or a location for them to meet. If you have any questions or would like to make sure your high schooler is connected tonight, please contact Dan Pollak at [email protected] or directly at 602.558.1701.

We are gathering offsite at Discovery Park on July 18 from 630-8p. Please have your 9th-12th graders join our Youth Ministry Team and leaders for some fun and feel free to bring friends as well.
